Frank Zechner is one of Ontario’s few lawyers that focuses on environmental and construction law. Formally trained as an engineer prior to the practice of law, Frank is particularly effective in dealing with environmental audits and assessments, management of toxic substances, contaminated site clean ups and construction excavation practices.

In private practice since 1999, Frank is also a proven defender of clients facing regulatory offences under federal, provincial or municipal laws.

As a forceful advocate, he is often sought by clients who are establishing or growing new organizations, negotiating agreements or resolving disputes ranging from municipal tenders to commercial joint venture agreements.

Frank has earned the respect of his clients for sourcing and expediting regulatory permits and consents ranging from the recycling of hazardous materials to air emissions to the management of excess construction fill.

Prior to entering private practice, Frank held a number of senior legal positions with major Ontario corporations including The Consumers Gas Company Limited, Denison Mines Limited and Philip Environmental Inc.

Frank has earned a reputation for positive results. He contributes regularly to several major industry and professional associations. His unique experiences in environmental and construction law enable him to bring insights and judgement which may not otherwise be readily available to other legal practitioners.
